Back Again after Tech Issues
Had a few technical problems these past few weeks, haven't been able to update. By technical problems I really mean I lost my password and had to start over. I finally got the time to do it NOW.
I started working on my demo reel last night. I'm used three major things I've worked on so far this year. First, my Gangsters Drama second was the short documentary about the Food Bank in Ottawa followed by the Bush Protest from a few months back.
Thursdays have come to be a night of drinking at Marshy's. A local bar that sells beer cheap, but only when you buy the team pitcher. The staff there always seems to get angry at our group because there are some people who don't tip. They remain the only place where I've heard employee’s angrily detail their frustration of not being appreciated.
It looks like I may be heading back to Montreal next week for my rough-cut viewing of the Short Doc at the CBC building there. It's coming along well and there is still a chance of us getting on the two biggest Canadian TV Networks. We're in the contest to have it aired on CBC, but the Ottawa branch of CTV may be interested as well. Though for that, we'll need permission from the National Film Board, because after all, they do own the Short Doc we've made.
In the last few days, the earliest I’ve gone to bed was 3am. It seems that I go for a few days almost straight until I start to feel burnt out, then I have a day and a half to catch up and then it all starts again.
