Back to the Shire

Going back home is always great. Back home is a small town where everyone knows almost everyone else. It's like the Shire almost. It’s a small town area about ten kilometers off of the St. Laurence River where back in the fifties; they widened the river so they could send bigger ships down to farther harbors. It’s a nice place that’s quite peaceful most of the time. Almost one half of my whole family lives in a small town there. I’m looking forward to seeing them all and it will be even better to get out of Ottawa for a few days.

We went out tonight to listen to some Reggae. The guy we saw play was a legend there at Babylon. He was in a wheelchair and I had found out that he had been in a car accident. When he took the stage, it was a brilliant moment. All of the people in that packed place who was tight with the music were having a great time and if that will be the only night I ever spent at Babylon, I’d have good memories of it.

I’m going to talk to the people who are heading down to Montreal if I can head down with them this coming Wednesday. It will rock to see what the CBC thinks of our rough cut. Also this coming week, The Corporation is coming out on DVD which rules and I’ll definitely be picking that up on Tuesday.

I’ve became accustomed to writing my post in MS WORD first to check for errors, which helps more because I still feel a bit intoxicated. Told a lot of people I met tonight that I am a filmmaker, which was fun. I may have told a small white lie when I said that I worked with Steven Spielberg on his upcoming movie War of the Worlds, but I think I was pretty convincing. Haha, classic.

Might hook up with some old friends from my old summer job this weekend too. If I do, that’ll be cool too.

This weekend would also rock even more if I could get down to Quebec to see my family down there. If not this weekend, hopefully I can sometime soon
