Apparition and the good time gang

Starting a new side project music video, working title Apparition. Captured all the video's last night and started. Got to sleep around 4am, and maybe 1/8 into it. Not sure how it's going to look. Some shots show real promise while others need work. It's inbetween the stages of could be something and not sure. We'll see in the coming days.

Going to see Lord of War tonight. Not sure what I think of it yet. It could be something and I hope it's not one of those movies you see once then never want to see again.

Worked the day before last. I was at home...back home sleeping when my cell rang and it was work asking me to come in. So I had my bro drive me the hour and a half to Ottawa to get on the film set asap. Mostly did runs, driving around. Went to one place for whose parking lot was a bit narrower than I had thought. I hit the curb backing up and it shook the van like a motherfucker. It scared the shit out of the Art Director, who after ten seconds of silence started laughing his head off, which lasted most of the rest of the day. He said thanks, that he really needed something not serious and that got his mind off of the film stresses for a little while. Glad to help dude.

Anywho, when the video is finished, i'm going to post it online somewhere for a select few to see.

Cheers.

the bright end

Growing up in a small town you want to get out and see some of the world. Today, you might want to see a bit less of it given some of the things going on. Perhaps New Orleans on another day. Vietnam is supposed to be nice now.

How about Afghanistan? If i'm to go to Afghanistan to film a movie, security would definately be needed. Though this director says the security we would come to experpence would be more likely called Gunmen. Gunmen, as is well known ususally go to the highest bidder.

I have almost lost all intention in working in the film business anymore. I think if i'm going to keep with it, i'll need to leave it. As much sense as that makes, it really only dives into the deep end of understanding. I don't want to do any one thing for the rest of my life, even if that is a long time goal or something that rocks in the meantime.

There are three windows open on my firefox now. They read:

next post will be of imaginable proportions. be prepared for a mind-warp trip

Three random Thoughts

Saw The Constant Gardener tonight. Great movie. Great story, so much intertwined with different elements that i'd have to watch it about five times to catch everything. It's too bad these movies don't come around more often, but I suppose if they did, they wouldn't seem as good because you'd be used to them.

Enjoying some time off work. Going to try to beat Snake Eater tonight. I've been playing it on and off for a couple months now. A total of 17 hours of gameplay it says on my save bar so far. I love the story for the Metal Gear Solid games. Don't think it would transfer well to film, but great for a game. Always a deep storyline and deeper meanings that make the game a whole lot more interesting.

I haven't had lemonade in two years before three days ago. I bought two frozen cans of it and it's just finished and i'm wanting more. Water and milk aren't just cutting it these days, though I have a jug of well water from back home so i'm doing well staying away from the Ottawa water. Well water is so much better too. I find it easier to drink than the city water.

Still thinking about the Constant Gardener movie. Probably will for a while now.
